Eine vor allem in den USA gebräuchliche Größe für die Messung der Anzahl unterschiedlicher Besucher einer Website innerhalb eines Monats. Mehrere Besuche (Visits) desselben Konsumenten innerhalb dieses Zeitraumes werden daher nur einmalig verbucht. Hierdurch will man das Phänomen erfassen, dass es für Website- und Werbetreibende einen Unterschied ausmacht, ob beispielsweise 100 Konsumenten 10-mal im Monat oder 1000 Konsumenten nur einmal im Monat kommen. In beiden Situationen werden zwar insgesamt 1.000 Visits, aber nur 100 beziehungsweise 1.000 Unique Users (Unique Visitors) gemessen.
